Description
The Senior Account Manager will deliver exceptional client results by providing sound, innovative, strategic leadership to a portfolio of accounts through a rigorous discipline of account planning, strategy development, and project management. This role requires a blend of project management and fundraising acumen, with a focus on developing strategic thinking, analytical skills, and team leadership. The Senior Account Manager must possess a curiosity and willingness to learn and grow and the ability to present Allegiance Group + Pursuant (AGP) ideas, concepts, and points of view to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Client Partnership :
- Develops communication plans and client budgets with support from the Associate Vice President or Account Director, as needed
- Advances direct response practices in architected strategies
- Responsible for managing and executing projects on time, on budget and with excellence
- Balances the needs of the client with proven best practices to advance sound strategy and deliver strong results with support from the Associate Vice President or Account Director, as needed
- Focuses on making AGP an indispensable partner
- Presents AGP work through skillful written and verbal communication
- Confidently presents ideas and data insights to the Client
- Actively listens with the ability to identify client needs and respond accordingly
- Actively works to fully understand our Client’s business
Strategy & Project Management :
Facilitates strategic planning, internal communication, and ensures all cross-functional team members understand project parameters and scope of workManages Client communication plan and workflow throughout the agency from project initiation to project completion and billingKeeps team members informed of project developments and addresses issues via regular status meetings and published status reportsProactively identifies and formulates solutions to potential project challengesDevelops and organizes all project documentation including strategy documents, copy documents, and data request formsReviews copy and design creative, production worksheets, print setups, and test emails to ensure work product aligns with project strategyDevelops quality, innovative, and creative ideas with the support of the account team and the Associate Vice President or Account DirectorLeads highly productive meetings internally and with the ClientProvides clear direction / constructive feedback to all departmentsFiscal Responsibility :
Closely monitors budget estimate and billingMeets with Finance monthly to reconcile project summaries and provides Client billing and closing directionPartners with the Associate Vice President or Account Director to identify opportunities to expand existing budget and reallocate unused budget dollars to new prioritiesPersonal Leadership and Development :

Qualifications
Proven experience in account management, preferably with a an emphasis in membership-based organizationsStrategic planningAbility to manage competing prioritiesStrong interpersonal skills including strong verbal and written communicationCollaborative, agile, proactive, and independent management of timelines and deliverablesExcellent judgment and problem-solving skillsAbility to apply fiscal responsibilityStudies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification.
