Must-Have :

• Previous charge experience is preferred
• Triage, IV starts, and phlebotomy skills required
• Ability to work with diverse patient age groups including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Description :

The emergency department registered nurse will provide care for patients with urgent and emergent needs.

The nurse will perform triage and manage IV starts and phlebotomy.

Charge experience is preferred, and clinicians will be trained on the unit prior to assuming charge duties.

The patient ratio is 1 : 4 during shifts.

Call will be required every other weekend and holiday rotation as necessary.

Candidates must have worked in an emergency department setting with a daily volume of at least 125 visits within the past 8 months.

Scrubs are not provided and navy blue is the required color.

Potential exposure to COVID-19 patients is possible.

References must be provided upon request.

No more than 7 days of requested time off for the duration of the contract is highly preferred, with no time off in the first two weeks.

The nursing staff collaborates with interdisciplinary support including interpretation services, radiology, and social services.

Emergency department functions involve managing a daily census of patients with various diagnoses and conditions.
