Location : Challis, Idaho (primary project site) with nationwide travel

Work Arrangement : Project based, on site rotation with paid travel

Help build and sustain a proactive safety culture on a high visibility industrial project. In this field facing role, you will be a trusted presence on site, coaching crews, aligning contractors around common expectations, and ensuring work kicks off safely every single day. You will partner closely with site leadership to spot hazards early, verify controls are in place, and keep the project moving safely and efficiently.

What You Will Do

  • Lead daily safety activities on site, including field walks, observations, and coaching to reinforce safe work practices.
  • Facilitate pre shift briefings and new worker orientations that are clear, engaging, and action focused.
  • Verify required permits, JSAs, and controls are in place before work begins for each task and crew.
  • Track and trend hazards, near misses, and findings, then drive timely corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support incident response and fact finding, contribute to root cause analysis, and follow through on corrective actions until closure.
  • Align expectations with contractor supervision and site management, promoting consistency across all work areas.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness activities, including drills, equipment checks, and readiness reviews.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to demonstrate compliance with applicable regulations and project requirements.

What You Will Bring

  • 7 plus years of field safety experience on mining, industrial, or heavy civil projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of MSHA and OSHA requirements and how they apply in dynamic construction environments.
  • Hands on experience with hazard recognition, auditing, incident investigation, and corrective action management.
  • Proficiency reviewing task planning tools and high risk work controls, such as energy isolation, confined space, working at heights, hot work, and atmosphere testing.
  • Confident, credible presence in the field with a coaching mindset and the ability to influence both craft workers and supervisors.
  • Current MSHA and or OSHA training and a safety related credential or equivalent field based training.
  • Solid communication, documentation, and follow up skills, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Schedule, Travel, and Work Environment

  • Project based, on site rotation with paid travel.
  • Nationwide travel as needed to support project phases or mobilizations.
  • Field role with regular walking, climbing, and exposure to active construction areas, with appropriate PPE provided.
  • Why Consider This Role

You will have meaningful impact at the workface, direct access to site leadership, and the opportunity to shape a strong safety culture on complex industrial work. Apply today to learn more.
