Facilities Maintenance Technician III – 1st Shift
Location : Winston-Salem, NC
Pay Rate : $30.00 – $34.00 per hour (based on experience) + Bonus Potential
Employment Type : Direct Hire - Full-Time, Onsite
EmployBridge is seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician III to support one of our top manufacturing clients at their state-of-the-art Innovation and Manufacturing facility in Winston-Salem, NC. This role performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repair, preventative maintenance, and installation tasks for both facilities and production equipment.
This position requires demonstrated competency in all activities that directly or indirectly affect product safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to all company and OSHA safety policies and regulations.
- Perform facility and equipment safety inspections as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance (PM / PdM) tasks using tools such as ultrasonic, vibration analysis, and laser alignment.
- Identify and analyze equipment performance trends, root causes, and variances to drive continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Perform general facility repairs including painting, carpentry, sheetrock, and flooring.
- Support A / V equipment setup, lighting repairs, and lab equipment installations.
- Perform maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Utilize welding (MIG / TIG / Gas) and basic machining skills (lathe, mill, grinders, drill press).
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and technical drawings.
- Communicate effectively during shift handoffs and team meetings.
- Train and cross-train maintenance team members as appropriate.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum of 2–4 years of industrial or facilities maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.High school diploma or GED required.Strong mechanical, electrical, welding, and carpentry skills.Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts (must possess a valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR).Proven ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment systems.Knowledge of PLCs and ability to make minor ladder logic adjustments preferred.Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology, Mechatronics, or Electrical / Electronics.HVAC-R certification or Electrical License.Experience in manufacturing environments requiring adherence to strict quality and safety standards.Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, bend, crawl, and climb regularly.Manual dexterity and ability to use hand and power tools safely.Must be able to see, hear, and communicate clearly to coordinate maintenance activities.Work Environment
