Description :

The Assistant Project Manager will serve in assigned aspects of industrial construction, including contract administration, construction execution, and end-to-end planning, developing, scheduling, and ongoing management of project outcomes.

Travel : As required; 15-20%

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Assist in bid preparation- machinery quotation, material quotation, and project detailing.
  • Assist with the coordination of project details- drawings, equipment submissions, material specifications, performance specifications, project changes, and document control.
  • Attend and participate in project meetings as required.
  • Assist the Project Manager with the preparation of progress reports and meeting minutes.
  • Assist in preparing and tracking payment requests / invoices and estimates
  • Assisting with material procurement and expediting deliveries.
  • Assist with project close-out out- document coordination, correction of project deficiencies, and execution of warranties.
  • Adherence to company safety policies.
  • Build and maintain client relationships.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements :

Education & Additional Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or construction management required.
  • Proficient in the Autodesk Environment.
  • MS Office (Word & Excel) and virtual collaboration tools.
  • CMIC, and Procore experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Strong communication skills- written and verbal
  • Having initiative and a positive, "can-do” attitude is essential.
  • Efficient time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective professional relationships with employees and project managers.
  • Physical Requirements :

  • Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, climbing ladders, and climbing stairs (high rooftops included).
  • Ability to work at heights and around moving machinery, including vibrating machinery, and tolerate environmental conditions consisting of heat, cold, noise, vibration, fumes, and dust.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time (while working on job sites, driving, etc.).
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
