Job descriptionWork in both inpatient and outpatient settings with a mix of acute and OP caseloads Department covers physical, speech, and occupational therapy services Patient population includes adults and pediatrics from birth through 18 years old Therapists may float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as needed Typical schedule is 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, with one weekend (Saturday-Sunday) per month Pediatric therapists may need to float to adult units if pediatric census is low Uses Epic EMR; on-site training available Role involves evaluating and treating patients across a range of rehabilitation needs, including developmental and physical disorders Will coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement comprehensive rehab programs Responsibilities include setting and meeting discharge goals, patient advocacy, and patient / family education for self-determination and resource utilization Must demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan Therapists will float as required, and coverage areas can include inpatient, long-term care, community-based care, and home health care Return staff must have a 1-year gap before being eligible for rehire as a traveler Basic orientation and on-site training provided as needed Professional or business casual attire appropriate for a healthcare setting Current New Mexico Physical Therapist license required if applicable Minimum two years of current experience in both inpatient and outpatient physical therapy required At least one previous 13-week travel assignment required Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctorate preferred BLS certification through AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross required At least one year of pediatric PT experience required if working with peds Basic computer skills and ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment required Must live at least 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates accepted) High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
