- Pay Rate : $64.43 / hour (weekly pay)\nResponsibilities\n
- Apply the nursing process : assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge of patients.\n
- Incorporate Patient- and Family-Centered Care (PFCC) principles into all aspects of care.\n
- Collaborate with patients, families, and care teams to personalize treatment plans and achieve optimal outcomes.\n
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records.\n
- Demonstrate competency with general OR, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, and trauma procedures.\n
- Perform and assist with technical procedures and operate equipment safely and effectively.\n
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care, ensuring understanding and engagement.\n
- Demonstrate professional leadership by mentoring peers, engaging in continuing education, and participating in team meetings and initiatives.\n
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols at all times.\nQualifications Required Education\n
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's Degree or higher.\n
- If not BSN-prepared, nurses with less than one year of experience must sign an educational contract upon hire to complete their BSN within the specified timeframe.\nLicenses & Certifications\n
- Active RN License – State of Michigan (required)\n
- BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross – required)\n
- ACLS (American Heart Association – required)\n
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC – required within 1 year)\n
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC – required)\n
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP – required within 180 days for applicable departments)\n
- Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification (C-EFM – required within 1 year for Family Birth Center)\n
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS – required within 1 year)\n
- Additional specialty certifications as applicable to clinical area.\nExperience\n
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required.\n
- Must have experience in General, Ortho, GYN, URO, and Trauma cases.\nTechnical Skills\n
- RN License (MI)\n
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, PALS, and C-EFM (as applicable)\n
- Trauma and general OR experience\n
