Pay Rate : $28–$30 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule : Full-time, Monday through Friday

About the Role
Our client is a rapidly growing leader in custom emergency vehicle builds and fleet upfitting, providing end-to-end solutions that include vehicle design, fabrication, installation, and service. As the Purchasing Agent, you’ll play a key role in ensuring production efficiency by sourcing, ordering, and maintaining the parts and components needed for vehicle upfitting operations.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, hands-on professional who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment, thrives on variety, and takes pride in supporting high-quality manufacturing and service operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and purchase vehicle parts, electrical components, lighting, hardware, and upfitting materials from approved and new vendors.
- Manage purchase orders — verifying pricing, quantities, part numbers, and delivery timelines.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and anticipate material needs based on production schedules and service priorities.
- Partner with parts and service teams to ensure timely delivery of critical components and communicate any supply chain delays or issues.
- Build and maintain vendor relationships to secure competitive pricing, quality assurance, and reliable delivery.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs through vendor consolidation and bulk ordering strategies.
- Work closely with accounting to reconcile invoices, resolve discrepancies, and maintain organized purchasing documentation.
- Support ongoing process improvement efforts, including evaluating supplier performance and identifying ways to streamline the purchasing workflow.
Qualifications
2–5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or inventory coordination experience — preferably in automotive, manufacturing, or fleet operations.Strong communication and relationship management skills; enjoys working cross-functionally with accounting, service, and production teams.Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Experience working with purchasing or ERP systems (training will be provided).Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience).Valid driver’s license required.Work Environment
