Description : What You Will Be Doing

Selected candidate will serve as an Integrated Production Team (IPT) lead supporting the Wire Harness / Electrical Fabrication Department in Marietta, GA (this includes Wire Cut, Fiber Optics, Coax, Assembly, etc.). Duties will entail overseeing all production engineering and other support organization activities for a specified area of production including processes; procedures; production layouts; equipment installation; tooling requirements; root cause and corrective action activities; as well as all safety, affordability, and quality considerations. As the IPT lead, the selected candidate will be the primary point of contact for the manufacturing engineering team and responsible for prioritizing and delegating tasks within the group as well as coordinating actions with various support organizations.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering or STEM discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering), equivalent experience considered.

Experience leading / facilitating teams in a Manufacturing Environment.

Professional experience in a manufacturing environment working cross functionally with other disciplines including design engineering, manufacturing planning, scheduling, facilities engineering, and / or industrial engineering.

Desired Skills :

Being a self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment with minimal supervision is required.

Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.

Ability to manage priorities, make sound financial decisions, and be flexible with schedule to support ever changing production needs.

Successful experience in Project Management and / or Change Management.

Ability to mentor and teach individuals or small groups.

Excellent writing and communication skills.

Experience with aircraft manufacturing and assembly processes or fabrication processes.

Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills including oral, listening, technical writing, and team building.

Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Word, Excel, and Power Point).

Familiarity with Wire Harness / Electrical Fabrication methods and processes.

Ability to Work Remotely : Onsite Full-time : The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules : Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position : 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
