The technologist is responsible for performing a variety of tests on blood, tissue, and body fluids using both automated and manual methods. This involves working in one or more areas such as chemistry, hematology, immunology, immunohematology, or microbiology.

The key objectives of this role are to ensure the delivery of quality laboratory services and timely reporting of lab test results, adhering to established policies and applicable laws and regulations. Additionally, the technologist must adhere to the legal responsibilities and scope of practice as written by the Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel, State of Florida.
