Description : Position Summary :
QuikCut, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team and support the sales department by providing accurate and timely estimates for new fabrication jobs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication—preferably metal fabrication—and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Experience with M1 ERP software and Paperless Parts is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and project scopes.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for fabrication jobs, including materials, labor, and overhead.
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Communicate with vendors and internal teams to gather pricing and lead time information.
- Ensure estimates are completed within required timeframes to support sales efforts.
- Maintain and update estimating tools, templates, and historical data.
- Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Support job quoting and proposal development.
- Track and follow up on submitted estimates and revise as needed.
