We are seeking an Agentic Systems Engineer to support National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Artificial Intelligence (AI) efforts. This engineer will play an important role helping to create technical solutions for multiple AI challenges.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Agentic Systems Engineer will architect and operationalize multi-agent orchestration logic, enabling autonomous coordination, planning, and self-validation. Core responsibilities include :

• Architect and operationalize multi-agent orchestration logic, enabling autonomous coordination, planning, etc.
• Design and maintain agent-to-agent (A2A) coordination frameworks leveraging standardized protocols (FIPA ACL, KQML) and event-driven architectures (e.g., AWS).
• Implement structured, semantically rich message schemas and event buses to enable asynchronous, decoupled task orchestration.
• Ensure secure, traceable, and auditable agent collaboration using Model Context Protocol (MCP) for agent-tool / data integration.
• Build autonomous agents, enabling continuous self-evaluation of performance, compliance, and mission alignment.
• Work with AI / ML engineers and data scientists to integrate agent logic, agent messaging, and related into the unified agentic ecosystem.
• Ensure the overall architecture aligns with NGA CORE environment requirements and broader DoD / IC governance and compliance standards.
