About the Role
The Company is seeking dedicated individuals to join its Board of Directors. The Board, as the organization's leadership body, is tasked with supporting and overseeing the evolution of the company's mission and purpose, ensuring rigorous fiduciary oversight and financial management, engaging in strategic and organizational planning, and participating in fundraising activities to ensure financial sustainability. Individual board members are expected to be well-versed in the company's mission, policies, procedures, and programs, and to serve as active advocates and ambassadors. This includes making personal financial contributions, attending and participating in meetings, and serving on committees.
Candidates for the Board of Directors should be prepared to make a significant time commitment, approximately 5 hours per month, and be willing to serve a term of 2 years. Responsibilities for individual board members also include reading and being accountable for the company's financial statements, signing an annual conflict of interest statement, and fully participating in the board's activities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and engaged individual who is passionate about the company's mission and is ready to invest time and resources to advance it.
