Travel RN Job Details

Location : Leonardtown, Maryland (Zip : 20650) – Maryland healthcare jobs

Assignment Length : 13 weeks

Start Date : December 15, 2025

End Date : March 16, 2026

Setting : Cardiac Stepdown / Intermediate Care (IMC)

Shift : 12-hour day shifts (07 : 00 - 19 : 00), 3 shifts per week

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,590 - $1,710

Patient Ratio : 1 : 4-6

Scrubs : Caribbean blue (not provided)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent experience in IMC / Cardiac Stepdown nursing jobs

Previous Charge Nurse experience required

Active RN license (Maryland or compact state)

Certifications : ACLS and BLS (required)

Clinical skills : chest tubes, PCA infusions, bedside monitoring, non-titratable drips, IV infusions

Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1 : 4-6

Two supervisor references required

Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)

Community hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I / II experience preferred

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult patients with cardiac, respiratory, and complex medical diagnoses, including CHF, diabetes, COPD / asthma, sepsis, pneumothorax, ESRD / dialysis, hypertension / hypotension, ETOH withdrawal, and post-surgical cases

Perform and manage central line care, chest tubes (Emerson / PleurEvac), feeding tube care, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, and cardiac monitoring

Interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac drips (non-titratable)

Start and maintain IVs, administer oxygen therapies, and provide pre / post hemodialysis management

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and social services

Participate in weekend coverage as directed by unit operational needs

Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient safety standards
