Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

Dyersville, IA

Full Time – Shifts available : 1st or 2nd shift

An established company in Northeast Iowa is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join their team. There are currently two opportunities available : 1st and 2nd shift. This role is critical in ensuring quality, compliance, and safety standards are consistently met across welding operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in welding inspection, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding industry standards.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) of welds
  • Ensure compliance with welding codes and specifications
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve welding-related issues
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to welding processes and quality

Qualifications :

  • CWI certification is required— candidates without this credential will not be considered
  • Strong knowledge of welding processes, codes (AWS, ASME, etc.), and inspection techniques
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints

    • Note : We are looking for the right fit, and holding an active Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential is essential for this position.
