A Pastry Cook II is responsible for preparing a variety of desserts, pastries, and other baked goods. They must ensure the quality of ingredients, maintain equipment, and create recipes that meet the establishment's standards. The ideal candidate should have a passion for baking and a keen eye for detail.

Major Duties / Responsibilities :

• Prepare a wide variety of baked goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, and bread.
• Follow traditional and modern recipes to meet quality standards.
• Measure and combine ingredients using mixers, blenders, heat sources, and other equipment.
• Decorate pastries and desserts to ensure beautiful and exciting presentations.
• Maintain a clean and tidy working area.
• Follow all food safety procedures.
• Receive, and store supplies properly.
• Perform tests to ensure dough or batter is mixed to the right consistency.
• Remain current on cooking trends and best practices.
• Monitor baking progress using specific tools like thermometers or toothpicks.
• Support leadership in training of new techniques and products
• Follow all company standards and expectations
• Requires repetitive motion of the hands, wrists, and forearms. Requires bending, stooping, lifting, and twisting.

Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform major duties / responsibilities :

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :

Education : A degree or certification in culinary arts or a related field is often preferred.

Experience : 1 year of experience as a pastry cook including, piping, decorating and working in professional kitchen or bakery is required.
