General Description

Position will be responsible for safe, accurate, medication administration. Conduct and document family education on medication; monitor for any adverse reactions to medications / side effects and document findings accurately and correctly. Transcribe doctors' orders; recognize specific needs of patients. Provide nursing interventions that result in positive patient outcome. Meet responsibilities of role in nursing assessment, documentation and completing forms following policy protocol. Performs related duties as required. Mandatory overtime is an essential function of this position. This is a tobacco free facility. Applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a chemical urinalysis and breath analysis drug screening test. All employees shall be subject to drug testing for probable cause as set forth in agency and bureau policies. Employees must successfully complete a background check.

This position is eligible for an appointment incentive of $7,500.00 to the selected applicant who agrees to work for the facility for a minimum of twelve (12) months.

Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse from the West Virginia State Board of Examiners for Licensed Practical Nurses.
