The Space Security Division within Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer-IT to join our Agile team, specializing in IT Infrastructure (Systems Administration, Networking, & Hardware) within the Whiskey Program Area.

Responsibilities

  • Execute software installations and manage accounts (Active Directory & Group Policy).
  • Implement virtualization, networking, and hardware design, procurement, and installation.
  • Apply systems engineering, test, and verification principles.
  • Perform a wide range of infrastructure tasks with a broad skill set.
  • Collaborate as a goal-oriented team player, creative thinker, problem-solver, and uphold ethical standards of Lockheed Martin.

Qualifications

  • Basic qualifications : Windows System Administration including Active Directory, PowerShell, and Group Policy; Security+ or CISSP or other DOD 8570–compliant certification; active DoD Top-Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain an SCI; typically 2+ years of professional experience and a BS degree for this level 2 role.
  • Clearance requirements : U.S. Citizenship is required to meet program / customer requirements.

    • Desired Skills

  • Experience with Agile methodology.
  • Experience managing Domain Controllers and maintaining physical and virtual servers.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation.
  • Experience with backup solutions (e.g., Veritas) and disaster recovery planning.
  • Familiarity with Ansible or Terraform for infrastructure as code; version control with Git.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and document processes clearly.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, including patch management, vulnerability assessments, and tools like Nessus or SIEM solutions.
  • Active TS / SCI security clearance.
