Accounts Payable Clerk | Kansas City, MO
LHH is partnering with a client that is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join their onsite finance team in Kansas City. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about maintaining accurate financial records and supporting vendor relationships.
Responsibilities :
Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and payment requests
Match purchase orders with invoices and resolve discrepancies
Prepare and perform check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
Maintain vendor files and ensure timely responses to inquiries
Reconcile accounts payable transactions and assist with month-end close
Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate coding and approvals
Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher in Accounting or related field preferred
2+ years of accounts payable experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Compensation : $25–27 / hour
Job Type : Direct Hire
