Starting Wage : $14.00 per hour

Hours : 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 PM Monday - Friday

Summary

The Manufacturing Receiving Team Member will work in a large warehouse environment receiving fabrics from delivery trucks and placing materials in the fabric bins, using the packing slip to check off every roll and verify the shipment is complete. Accuracy and efficiency are very important success factors. This position will work relatively independently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• All duties and responsibilities of Manufacturing Receiving Team Member Level 1
• Unloading trucks with several rolls of fabric Daily / as needed
• Reports any discrepancies in the packing slip(s) to receiving supervisor Daily
• Must be able to drive a forklift and reach truck As needed
• Must familiarize and memorize the different fabrics we have - Daily
• Move fabric bins and unload pallets from freight trucks As needed
• Use a handheld scanner to receive in fabric and components As needed
• Moderate lifting (up to 40 pounds) Daily
• Occasional lifting (up to 100 pounds) - Daily
• Meets deadlines - Daily
• Maintain warehouse equipment by following manufacturer's standards of use and cleaning - Daily
• Maintain safe and clean working environment - Daily
• Work with supervisor towards meeting performance standards Daily
• Participation in Peckham's safety programs and ergonomic activities is required.
• Other related duties as assigned

Fork truck, reach truck, pallet jacks.

Qualifications

Education and / or Experience

Forklift license is required.

Language Skills

Ability to read limited number of two or three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to communicate effectively to others.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to carry out instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form. Have problem solving ability. Ability to pay close attention to detail. Ability to memorize several different style numbers and fabric types.
