Entry Level Service Technician

Job Title : Entry-Level Service Technician Location : Hackettstown, NJ Pay Rate : $19 to $21 per hour (based on experience) Employment Type : Contract-to-Hire Schedule : Full-Time, Day Shift, Monday to Friday Overview : We are seeking an Entry-Level Service Technician to assist in maintaining, repairing, and calibrating laboratory equipment.

This role is ideal for someone mechanically or electronically inclined who is looking to gain hands-on industry experience.

Full training is provided.

Responsibilities : Perform basic maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments Support senior technicians with diagnostics and part replacements Use basic tools and electronic testing equipment, such as multimeters Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for documentation and testing Provide email and phone support for technical issues Maintain clean and organized workspaces in compliance with safety standards Requirements : High school diploma or associate degree preferred Interest in electronics, mechanical systems, or lab equipment Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Willingness to learn and work in a team environment Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) : Hands-on experience or coursework in electronics or lab tech Previous experience in manufacturing, quality control, or equipment repair Familiarity with basic test equipment such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, or multimeters Benefits of This Opportunity : Full on-the-job training provided Opportunity to grow into a more advanced technician role Stable Monday to Friday schedule Clean, professional, and supportive work environment Ref : #558-Scientific
