About the Role
We’re seeking a hands-on, friendly, and systems-minded People Manager to oversee onboarding, off-boarding, payroll, benefits, and the full employee lifecycle across both U.S. and Canadian teams. Based full-time in our Austin office, you’ll play a key role in shaping the employee experience and supporting our distributed team.
Role Descriptions
- Manage end-to-end onboarding and off-boarding for U.S. and Canadian employees—including IT setup, system access, and workspace readiness.
- Administer offer letters, compensation packages, and new hire documentation, ensuring all employee-facing resources (e.g., handbooks, process flows) are clean, accurate, and accessible.
- Oversee payroll and benefits administration for both U.S. and Canadian employees, ensuring compliance in both markets.
- Maintain and optimize HRIS (Paylocity and other systems) and support accurate reporting across HR functions.
- Develop scalable templates, checklists, and workflows to streamline and standardize HR processes across regions.
- Lead or co-lead bi-annual performance reviews, including planning, documentation, and execution.
- Partner with leadership to proactively flag issues and foster a strong, positive company culture for both in-office and remote employees.
Qualifications
Solid experience in HR or People Operations, including payroll, benefits, and compliance in both the U.S. and Canada.Proven ability to manage onboarding, offboarding, and HRIS tools (Paylocity experience a plus).Comfortable wearing many hats—from administrative duties to culture-building.Strong attention to detail, systems orientation, and ability to drive consistency across distributed teams.Must be based in Austin, TX and work full-time in-office, while supporting remote teammates across North America.
