The Southeast Louisiana VA Health Care Network is dedicated to advocating for a whole health system of care in each of our Medical Centers. As part of this dynamic team, you will be instrumental in creating personalized health plans for our veterans, fostering healing relationships and environments, and connecting them back to their community. Staff Psychiatrist Key Responsibilities :

• Typical shift M-F, 7 : 30am-4 : 00pm; rotating call every 8 weeks
• Outpatient (except for weekend call – inpatient rounding, average 13-15 patients)
• This is not a remote position. On-station telehealth eligible (virtual visits - video, remote care by telephone)
• Clinical position with protected administrative time
• Manages care delivery at SLVHCS for veterans in outpatient setting
• Approximately 5-6 new patients per week
• Access to Clinical Psychologists; Social Workers; PA’s
• Academic appointment at LSU and Tulane
• Also seeking Psychiatrists interested in Women’s Health and / or Homeless outreach
• May qualify for the Education Debt Reduction Program (up to $200K over a 5-year period)
