Job Description :

The Assembly Integration and Test Focus factory for L3Harris is seeking a highly motivated Test Engineer to join the Chamber Operations group. This position is part of a team of subject matter experts in vacuum engineering test systems to provide support to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity associated with the design and test of complex optical-sensing spaceflight hardware.

Essential Functions :

• In this role you will directly support preparation of the test environment or facilitate the design of tests with program representatives.
• You are a contributor to Test Readiness Reviews as well as responsible for reviewing and validating test results against requirements.
• You will be directly supporting engineering technicians to conduct tests safely and per procedure and will have a working knowledge of the various thermal / vacuum chambers and their capabilities and be able to communicate relevant specifications to internal and external customers.
• Ultimately you will deliver thoroughly tested aerospace products equipment and systems with supporting documentation to the customer (internal and external) complying with specifications and production requirements.
• Willing to work overtime shift work (nights) or extended shifts weekends and holidays as needed.
• Willing to travel up to 10% of time
• Proficient with MS Office-Word Excel PowerPoint.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in New York State is $65500 - $121500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
