The Role of a CorePower Yoga Studio Manager
As a Studio Manager (SM), you lead the operations of a yoga studio, coach and inspire the CPY classroom experience, and train a team of world-class yoga instructors and mindful leaders. You build, grow, and lead a team of teachers and studio experience staff who collectively deliver CPY-winning results and foster a Core Values culture. You work with your District Manager to achieve current company and studio-level goals.
Health and Safety Management in The Studio
- Lead, execute and train all CPY Smart Health Protocol and CDC guidelines in studio, including leading and training the SET team, personally cleaning all studio spaces to CPY standards, and educating students on updated systems
- Own the functionality of your studio and act as a liaison between Studio Support Center facilities and IT teams and local facilities contractors
- Work with your Studio Coordinator to maintain appropriate studio supplies so provisions and amenities are available for all students
Studio Presence and Guiding the Student Experience
Be an ambassador of the CPY Core Values and consistently inspire, train, and coach these values in othersCommit to a minimum of 40 hours per week primarily in studio with some weeks flexing higher; on-call as neededTeach a minimum of 6 aligned CPY5 classes per week in multiple formatsTeach CorePower Live (live streamed) classes and host them at your studio per area scheduleLead the studio culture with trust in our future, growth, and full team activation of Core ValuesSupport training and facilitation of CPY programming and continuing educationLeading the Studio Team
Own day-to-day studio operations, including leading the teaching team, SET team, and Studio CoordinatorsCommunicate CorePower Yoga policies, initiatives, and protocols to all staff through Core Values, policies, and the Employee HandbookRecruit, hire, and retain a Core Values-driven studio team; develop talent pipelineTrain, develop, and provide regular feedback to Studio CoordinatorsOwn staffing for class and SET schedules; manage preplanned time off, absences, and subbingDevelop teachers and provide CPY5 Review feedback to foster growth and a world-class experienceOversee SET operations including recruitment, onboarding, training, feedback, and schedulingGrow the Business
Own revenue, profitability, and cultural growth by setting studio-level goals aligned with regional and company initiativesTrain and inspire the team on Black Tag Membership retention and growthCollaborate with District Manager in regular meetings to review goals and progressPartner with analytics to design the best schedule for the community via attendance and preferencesProvide solution-oriented feedback to District Manager to enhance the student experienceExpand CPY\'s influence within the community and on studio social media to enroll new students and partnersOwn the retail business within the studio, including achieving sales goals and maintaining visual merchandisingSkills & Experience
Demonstrate CorePower Yoga Core Values (Attitude of Gratitude, Team Player, Live Our Mission, Delivers Results)Excellent communication, professionalism, and interpersonal skillsCompletion of a relevant 200-hour teacher training or Yoga Sculpt programPreferred certification in every format at CPYThrives in a fast-paced environment and can prioritize under deadlinesMinimum 1 year in a customer service roleMinimum 1 year in operations or retail leadership (preferred)College degree (BA / BS) preferredFamiliar with studio systems (HRIS, intranet, POS, scheduling, payroll, etc.)Ability to build relationships across personalities and levelsSelf-starter with ability to take on new projectsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)Experience delivering actionable feedback for improvementThe Fine Print
