Job Summary : The Pro Bono Supervisor will provide legal representation to immigrant clients in order to represent them in immigration removal proceedings and prepare cases for submission to USCIS, including but not limited to, applications for asylum, Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) status, and / or T or U nonimmigrant status and other forms of immigration relief, as well as family-based petitions, bond hearings, and other types of legal relief. The majority of clients are
unaccompanied children, as well as other populations in need of humanitarian protection. S / he
will also represent these children in immigration court, and family court for predicate and custody orders in relation to SIJ cases. The Pro Bono Supervisor will regularly train and recruit pro bono attorneys and other volunteer; screen potential clients and coordinate with volunteers to place cases; maintain regular correspondence with volunteers and follow up on case progress to ensure deadlines are met; mentor volunteer attorneys in preparing applications for legal relief and providing direct representation in court.
The Pro Bono Supervisor will develop lasting relationships with law firms, non-profits, law clinics,
and immigration working groups; manage and review pro bono caseload, acting when cases need attention; develop training materials and maintain pro bono resource library; participate in the external promotion and development of trainings and volunteer recruitment events; carry out monthly grant reporting; work with other departments within the organization to prioritize client well-being; coordinate with the Pro Bono Specialist and legal assistant to consider the success and growth of the pro bono program, making adjustments where necessary. The Pro Bono Supervisor will participate in relevant trainings and will provide specialized trainings to staff and external parties. Other tasks may include corresponding with clients and government officials by phone, email and in person; assisting with special projects, as necessary.

Minimum Educational and General Qualifications :
