Senior Social Work Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES

Counsel patients and their families to navigate personal and environmental challenges that may affect health or impede effective medical care. Serve as a key member of interdisciplinary health and mental health teams, providing therapeutic support and guidance. Engage in supervisory responsibilities as needed, fostering a collaborative environment for optimal patient care.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is a must. At least five years of post-master's experience in a healthcare setting is essential, with six to seven years being preferred.

LICENSURE

Must possess a current license from the Texas Department of Human Services. ACP licensure is a valuable asset.
