Job Description : \n\n JOB TITLE : Director of Information Technology DEPARTMENT : Information Technology LED BY : Chief Financial Officer FSLA STATUS : Exempt HOURS : Full-Time; 40 hours / week POSITION SUMMARY The IT Director is responsible for all aspects of the organization's information technology and systems including IT strategy development, to support the organization's Strategic Plan and operational goals. The Director will take a leadership role in engineering and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure and participate as a member of the Leadership Team. The Director will evaluate and update the organization’s data privacy and security environment and ensure compliance with local and national standards. The Director is responsible for understanding stakeholder business needs and development / project management and implementation of effective solutions to respond to the organization's information technology goals. The Director is responsible for strategy development and innovation in refining the information technology opportunities of the organization. The IT Director is responsible for planning and managing Second Harvest Heartland’s technology systems including, but not limited to : Strategic identification and application of technology to achieve strategic objectives o The implementation and support of the organization’s architecture and technology products. Project Management for all IT related development. Operational activities of help-desk support, Network administration and staff leadership and training. Organizational compliance with IT policies and procedures and data privacy / security standards. Direct the strategic identification of AI opportunities to drive operational efficiencies, and oversee the successful implementation of high-impact AI solutions across the enterprise.Co-lead the organization’s IT & Data Council.Provide input and recommendations to the organization surrounding hardware and software technologies with a focus on innovation and how these technologies can assist SHH meet its strategic objectives. Understand stakeholders' operations and opportunities for technology enhancements that will improve organizational effectiveness. Develop and refine policies and training to support required local / state / federal data privacy and security standards. Develop and manage IT budgets and projects utilizing internal and external resources. Develop and monitor performance levels of software and hardware and evaluate, recommend, and propose alternative methods of information processing. Develop and maintain information architectures (data, application, network) ensuring the system is on-line daily. Support development of decision support tools for the current business areas, providing support in development of measurements and outcomes (including reporting) using data. Support internal and external internet and extranet presence. Maintain hardware and software maintenance agreements to ensure integrity of operations processes. Develop short and long range plans and schedules for the acquisition, upgrade and installation of equipment and software as needed. Monitor implementation of these plans. Develop / maintain disaster recovery plan across all systems and platforms. Coach and lead IT internal and external resources, including consulting services on procedures, issues, and priorities, establishing effective relationships with key suppliers and consultants. Training staff with IT-related equipment and programs Periodically evaluate user’s satisfaction with system performance and IT service. Setup, management, and maintenance of IT-related equipment. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.
