Description :

Ortho experience is required.

Surgical Technologists are responsible for assisting in surgical procedures.

Types of cases required include outpatient, community hospital, orthopedic, neuro, and vascular.

Preferred types of cases include inpatient and trauma.

Candidates are welcome to apply as first-timers.

Weekend work is required, with three weekends per schedule.

On-call requirements include one weeknight per week and every second or third weekend from 07 : 00 to 07 : 00.

The facility may call off one shift per two weeks.

The facility is a short-term acute care setting with a total of 80 staffed beds.

Scrub color is royal blue for staff.

Charting is done using Epic.

The daily census is around 25 patients.

Special considerations include trauma experience as a hard stop requirement.

Candidates must have experience in orthopedic, neuro, vascular, and robotics procedures.

Weekend work and variable shifts are expected, with start times potentially at 07 : 00, 09 : 00, 11 : 00, or 15 : 00.

Travelers may be required to float to nearby facilities.

Candidates should be willing to work two out of three major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.

References must cover at least one year of employment within the last three years in a comparable specialty.

Candidates are responsible for their housing arrangements.

Modules are non-billable and should not exceed 20 hours without prior approval.

Time spent on modules will be self-reported.
