SUMMARY
The Project superintendent oversees all phases of a construction project from initial planning to completion. Plans, directs, and coordinates, usually through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities concerned with the construction of the project to ensure it is completed on time and on budget.

QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
Education and / or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management preferred; 10+ years in a senior supervisory position in the heavy civil / heavy highway construction industry, with specialties in dirt, structures, and heavy highway construction. Equivalent experience and / or a combination of education and experience considered. Knowledge of OSHA, owner standards, rules, safety, and quality standards. Thorough understanding on how to read blueprints and specifications, estimating material needs and costs for jobs.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to type, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
