Crouse’s 57-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care to high risk infants / neonates. The NICU is the only level 4 in the region, covering a 14-county area in Central New York.

Pay Range : $39.00 - $50.00 / hour.

$10,000 sign-on bonus for experienced RNs, $5,000 sign-on bonus for newly graduated RNs !

Available Schedule(s) : 7 : 00pm-7 : 30am M-F rotating weekends & Holidays

Registered Nurse (RN) Position Responsibilities :

• Provides professional judgment and knowledge of roles as it pertains to the Crouse Hospital Professional Nursing Practice Model.
• Carries out duties and responsibilities per legal requirements under the Registered Nurse Scope of Practice, with emphasis on leading a culture of safe care.
• Responsible for all activities requiring assessment, planning, diagnosing, evaluating, judgment, problem-solving, creating and implementing the plan of care.
• Provides appropriate education to patients and families to promote health, facilitate rehabilitation and maintain wellness. Evaluates effectiveness and revises as appropriate.
• Monitors and evaluates patient responses to treatment / plan of care during hospital stay.
• Utilizes and engages in evidence based practice to deliver quality patient care.
• Demonstrates characteristics and skills that promote critical thinking in clinical problem solving situations.

Registered Nurse (RN) Position Requirements :

Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred.
