About the Opportunity

DMI, LLCis seeking a Systems Administrator to join us.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Administer and maintain development and production servers, including associated hardware and software, ensuring reliability and high availability across multi-redundant infrastructures.
• Build, configure, and optimize macOS systems (as well as Unix systems) from initial setup; administer Apache web server environments with a focus on performance tuning, security hardening, and compliance.
• Provide on-site and after-hours server administration support, resolving critical issues and sustaining uninterrupted operations for mission-critical systems.
• Perform system maintenance functions, including patch management, log analysis, user access administration, backup oversight, and desktop support in accordance with NIH security standards. Implement, configure, and manage digital certificates; participate in annual Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A) audits; collaborate with NIH security teams to document and execute corrective action plans.
• Evaluate workflow, security, and infrastructure challenges using analytical methods, recommending and implementing corrective actions to improve performance and compliance.
• Leverage technical expertise in shell scripting, version repository management, VM deployment for macOS, and software tools such as OpenSSH and Homebrew to streamline operations and enhance system functionality.

Location : Hybrid - Candidate should be local to Rockville or Bethesda, MD to be able to perform any physical maintenance
