cFocus Software seeks a Data Scientist to join our program supporting the Department of Defense (DoD). This position is remote. This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications :

  • Four (4) years of professional experience with managing and migrating unstructured data (e.g. Komprise).
  • This position requires a DoD IAT II level certification

Duties :

  • Collect, process, and analyze large data sets from multiple Navy and DoD systems to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Develop and apply machine learning, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics techniques to solve complex operational challenges.
  • Collaborate with technical and functional teams to define data requirements, methodologies, and objectives for analytic projects.
  • Design and implement data pipelines, algorithms, and analytical frameworks to automate data processing and analysis.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate insights effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain data models that support forecasting, risk assessment, and performance optimization.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency through validation, cleaning, and governance processes.
  • Leverage programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation, modeling, and visualization tasks.
  • Support integration of data analytics into decision-support systems and Navy enterprise applications.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity and IT teams to ensure data security and compliance with DoD and Navy standards.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and analytical techniques to enhance Navy data science capabilities.
  • Prepare technical documentation and briefings summarizing methodologies, findings, and recommendations.
  • Mentor junior analysts and support knowledge transfer of advanced analytics techniques across teams.
