Responsibilities Work in a 12-bed Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting Patient ratio is typically 1 : 2 Handles obstetrical patient triage, high risk deliveries, c-section recoveries, medication administration, central line maintenance, and sterile vaginal exams Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30 Every third weekend required Must float within skillset if needed Scrub experience is mandatory with scrubs provided Uses Epic for charting with facility-provided EPIC training Locals are accepted at the same rate Responsible for managing obstetric care including triage, delivery support, and c-section recovery Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays as per hospital policy No block scheduling is allowed unless pre-approved at booking Modules including EPIC training are required prior to start and must be completed annually Free parking is available in any unrestricted space First-time travelers must have current labor experience RTO must be confirmed prior to offer; changes will not be accommodated post-offer Requirements Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required Current certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermediate AWHONN, and FHM Experience in Labor & Delivery triage, high-risk deliveries, c-section recovery, and central line care required Must have recent scrub experience in Labor & Delivery References required for consideration Candidates who were full-time or PRN staff at RWJBH must have a 1-year gap before eligibility for travel roles Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-602714.
