Position Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Project Accountant with 5-7 years of experience in the commercial construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project accounting, financial reporting, and cost management. As a Senior Project Accountant, you will play a critical role in overseeing the financial aspects of construction projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Financial Management : Oversee and manage all financial aspects of assigned construction projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Cost Control : Monitor and control project costs, ensuring that expenditures align with budget and financial objectives. Analyze variances and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Contract Administration : Review and process project contracts, change orders, and subcontractor agreements. Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Billing and Collections : Prepare and review project invoices and ensure timely submission to clients. Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Financial Reporting : Generate and analyze financial reports for project performance, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Reconciliation : Perform regular reconciliations of project accounts, including job cost reports and general ledger accounts.
- Audit and Compliance : Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Support internal and external audits as needed.
- Collaboration : Work closely with project managers, estimators, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support project decision-making.
- Process Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in project accounting.
