What impact you'll make As an intern you will support the team in evaluating new project and market opportunities and manage portfolio assets by providing analytical, market research, and documentation support.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute due diligence and underwriting of power project investments, including review of legal documentation and consultant reports such as market studies and independent engineer reports.
- Prepare detailed financial models and developing and running sensitivity analyses on market, technical, financing, taxation, and other drivers.
- Present and defend analyses and approval requests to senior leadership with a clear and consistent approach to mitigate project risks.
- Protect and realize the value of portfolio investments through monitoring key performance indicators, evaluating project modifications / restructurings, and executing asset sales.
- Train and mentor junior investment professionals on a deal-by-deal basis.
- Support GE Vernova strategic initiatives, special projects, and new business development opportunities
Basic Qualifications
Enrolled in an MBA program graduating in 2027.Minimum 3.0 / 4.0 GPA.At least two years of pre-MBA progressive professional experience in project finance / infrastructure investing, or exposure to large commercial transactions in a related field such as accounting, commodities, corporate finance / M&A, or strategic management consulting.Strong financial modeling, valuation, and business and financial analysis skills.Team or small group leadership experience.Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States both now and in the future.Desired Qualifications
Power project development, engineering, or asset management experience.Quantitative or finance academic background with a GPA of 3.5 or above (out of a 4.0 scale).Skilled communicator who writes clearly and concisely.Additional Notes :
This position is located in our Stamford, Connecticut office.Benefits Available to you :The pay for this position ranges from $22.00 / hr - $27.00 / hr based on years of undergraduate / graduate field of study completed.Relocation Assistance : Co-op / Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school / home upon completion of the assignment.
