Warehouse Specialist
Warehouse Specialist will oversee activities within inventory warehouse organization related to ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, equipment, merchandise, supplies, and products. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring that inventory records are accurate at all times by performing daily or weekly counts of all products in inventory. Inventory specialist role requires exceptional organizational skillset along with ability to work cross-functionally in all areas of inventory, supply chain and operations.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Support and complete timely Work order management in SAP with operation confirmation and coordinate with shipping / logistics
- Review COGI and Backflush errors and work with inventory team for problem solving and corrective actions to maintain inventory accuracy
- Review open TO confirmations and work with inventory team for corrective actions
- Review LL01 Monitor and work with team for problem solving and corrective actions
- Implement and maintain Cycle Counting program
- MMRD (New Parts) Material Maintenance
- Improve and Maintain Material Master Accuracy for inventory data
- MTD Submittal and follow up
- Work with inventory team to Minimize Dummy location put-away
- Support / Lead Physical Inventory
- Update Standard Inventory Operating Procedures
- Identify improvement opportunities and implement with inventory team
- Participate in Lean / Kaizen events as required
- SAP Training for new employees
- Support Inventory operations as needed
- Support inventory team for any troubleshooting for SAP issues
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Business or a comparable discipline and a minimum of 3 years of industrial experience in a warehouse / inventory environment (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of experience in Inventory / warehousing)Desired Characteristics :
Expert level knowledge of SAP with minimum 5 years of experienceMath proficiencyFamiliarity with ERP and data entry systemsAbility to perform moderate to heavy liftingExcellent organizational skillsGreat written and verbal communicationMaterial Operations Specialist should have excellent interpersonal communication skills, a firm grasp of basic computer programs, and an ability to work both independently and in a team. Ideal candidates will have strong level of inventory experience as well as mid-level management experience.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsSharp production focus with a drive for accurate resultsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsSAP Material Management, Production Planning and Warehouse Module experienceFlexible to work long hours as required to meet project deadlinesAble to sit, walk, move around for long hours at a timeMust be willing to travel to offsite warehouse and main site dailyWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel.
