The BDM is responsible for the development and execution of a regional (US) business plan that is aligned with the global BU and maxon USA strategy. The BDM is the primary interface between the US sales & marketing and Global BU organization and defines target markets, solutions and selects and acquires target accounts. The BDM further supports sales in market specific requirements and leads improvements in local market specific processes & tools.
Collaborating closely with sales, the BDM directly supports strategic accounts and opportunities to accelerate growth and increase the efficiency of project / opportunity execution. The BDM represents maxon at targeted industry events (in person and virtual) to increase maxon's brand recognition and market presence. The objective of this role is to drive growth, enhance maxon's market share, and boost the organization's sales capabilities within the targeted market.
The BDM will take a lead-role in vetting customer development projects and supports the creation of detailed proposals and price quotes based on the customer's needs and the competitive landscape.

8 years of experience in sales, business development or engineering leadership in Motion Control, Semi-Conductor or Lab Automation

Travel
Travel is up to 50% and will be national, and international with overnight travel required.
