Outside Sales Representative

Overview

Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. is currently hiring for an Outside Sales Representative based out of our Bordentown, NJ office. This position aims to maximize sales, profitability, help grow sales and account insights within a multi-state territory in the Mid-Atlantic states and identifies solid market segment by effectively selling the company's catalog and engineered pipe supports, as well our engineered pipe supports. Will also be responsible for personally contacting and securing new business accounts and customers.

Responsibilities

• Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in order to generate new business for the organization's products and services
• Respond to prospective customer inquiries and requests for quotations
• Perform business development calls and related follow up
• Identify new business opportunities within distribution, end user targets, and large industrial projects
• Train end users on C&P's products and services
• Support existing product lines by fielding technical questions from customers
• Direct customer interface – both in a local territory, as well as overnight travel is required
• Become technically proficient in customers' applications as well as gain knowledge of new uses for existing products
• Other duties as assigned
