Mechanic Job description

Employees are expected to report to our American Falls facility

Compensation : $47,000 - $57,000 annually                                Job Type : Full-time, year round

Duties :

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel engines, brakes, suspensions, transmissions, electrical systems, and other components on semi-trucks and trailers.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections.
  • Use diagnostic tools and manuals to identify mechanical issues.
  • Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately and on time.
  • Keep the shop clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Move trucks / trailers in and out of bays or around the yard (if CDL is held).
  • Help manage tools, parts inventory, and equipment.
  • Run errands for parts or supplies when required.

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in diesel mechanics or working with heavy-duty trucks preferred (but willing to train the right candidate).
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and use of hand / power tools.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions.
  • CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) is a plus but not required.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
