Field Construction Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Coordination : Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project objectives; review project plans, proposals, and specifications; develop detailed project schedules and milestones; ability to manage large-scale projects from initiation to completion.
• Technical Oversight : Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and building codes; monitor construction progress and quality; address any technical issues promptly; evaluate contractor bids and proposals; must be able to perform manual labor as needed according to job requirements or instructions without any exceptions.
• Budget and Cost Management : Monitor expenses, track costs, and adjust as needed; review change orders and cost estimates.
• Subcontractor Management : Coordinate subcontractor activities; evaluate subcontractor performance; ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate project records; prepare progress reports for stakeholders.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance : Promote safety practices on-site; ensure compliance with environmental regulations; implement safety protocols.
• Quality Assurance : Conduct inspections to verify workmanship and adherence to standards; address any deficiencies promptly; ensure project quality meets expectations.
• Communication and Collaboration : Facilitate effective communication among project teams; liaise with architects, engineers, contractors, and regulatory authorities; resolve conflicts and maintain project flow.
