Lead Cabling Technician (CAT5 / CAT6) with Arkansas travel. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing structured cabling teams on large-scale CAT5 / CAT6 cabling projects in commercial environments. What You'll Do
- Lead structured cabling projects (CAT5, CAT6) with full ownership of quality and compliance (BICSI, TIA / EIA).
- Supervise and mentor field technicians—sharing knowledge, best practices, and safety-first leadership.
- Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber network cabling using industry-standard tools (Fluke testers, etc.).
- Coordinate with project managers and stakeholders to keep projects on time and within scope.
- Review blueprints / schematics, plan installations, and ensure professional routing, dressing, and documentation.
- Maintain a safe job site while upholding OSHA and company safety standards.
What We're Looking For
5+ years of structured cabling experience (CAT5 / CAT6) in large commercial settings.Proven leadership experience guiding and managing installation teams.Strong technical skills in cable termination, testing, troubleshooting, and QC.Ability to adapt quickly, solve problems, and work both independently and with cross-functional teams.Physically able to lift 50 lbs, work at heights, and in confined spaces.Willing and able to travel nationwide (100% travel required).Preferred
BICSI certification (Installer, Technician, or RCDD).Experience with fiber optic installation / termination.OSHA 10 / 30 certification.Experience on enterprise-level deployments.Why Join ServicePoint IT?
