Advanced CNC Machinist Specialist

Based in : Santa Ana, CA

Compensation Rate : $31-$38 per hour (experience-driven)

We are searching for someone skilled in the art of CNC operation, with the know-how to oversee, operate, and adjust machinery, primarily lathes or mills, to meet the height of precision in manufacturing. This role is ideal for those who flourish in collaborative and fast-paced environments, contributing wholeheartedly to the success of our precision machined product line.

Core Duties

  • Initiate and manage the setup and operation of CNC automated machines to craft precision parts, guided by intricate engineering blueprints.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T standards to execute precise machining assignments.
  • Carry out first article and process inspections to assure product quality, using sophisticated measurement tools like calipers and micrometers.
  • Adjust machine parameters, tooling, and feed operations as necessary to ensure the highest quality standards are met consistently.
  • Diagnose and address machining challenges such as tool attrition and surface finishing issues.
  • Engage in ongoing machine maintenance and solve basic operational issues.
  • Collaborate proactively with engineering, quality assurance, and production leads to continuously improve machining operations.

Candidate Requirements

  • Professional Experience : 2-5 years of proficiency in CNC machining among environments such as aerospace, medical, or automotive sectors.
  • Technical Proficiency : Expertise in G-code interpretation, blueprint analysis, and GD&T standards. Familiarity with control systems such as Fanuc, Haas, or Siemens adds an advantage.
  • Quality Assurance : Expert-level handiness in using precision gauges and conducting compliance checks, with familiarity in standards like AS9100 or ISO 9001 deemed beneficial.
  • Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to autonomously handle and resolve machining issues with a creative approach.
  • Detail Oriented : Precision-focused work ethic dedicated to high-quality output with stringent tolerances.
  • Physical Demand : Capable of standing for prolonged periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and operating within a machining shop environment.
  • Work Authorization : Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. in compliance with federal and California employment laws.
