Child Care Assistant

Overview This position requires someone who has infant experience, has a strong willingness to learn and wants to work in a nurturing team environment. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role also requires previous experience with infants, age 6 weeks to 18 months. Duties Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Utilize effective classroom management techniques to maintain a positive atmosphere conducive to learning. Assess and monitor the progress of each child, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs. Foster communication with parents regarding their child's progress and development. Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum development and share best practices for teaching. Provide support for children with special needs, including those with autism or other disabilities. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with educational trends and practices. Qualifications Associate's degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred but not required. Experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential. Strong understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with Montessori methods or other educational philosophies is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom experience is highly desirable. A genuine passion for teaching young children and supporting their growth in a nurturing environment. Pediatric / First Aid Certification Required
