American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Interventional Radiology position at a cancer center, requiring NJ or compact license and trauma experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Interventional Radiology department of a cancer center settingPatient population includes oncology cases and patients requiring conscious sedation recoveryDay shift, four 10-hour shifts per week from 8 : 00am to 6 : 30pmOn-call required 1-2 days per week, averaging 4-6 times per month; on-call RNs assist with but do not insert PICCsFloat between the main campus and cancer center buildings, connected via pedestrian bridgeUses EPIC EMR systemRequired to work 2 of 3 major holidaysNo block scheduling is allowedLocals accepted at the same ratePrimary duties include assisting with IR procedures and providing conscious sedation recoveryOn-call RNs assist with PICC procedures but do not insert lines; PAs perform insertionsPatient assignments when floating are based on acuity and skillsetModules, including up to 18 hours of non-billable pre-start training and annual competencies, must be completed prior to startFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyClinicians must be available to work scheduled and holiday shifts, as schedule changes are not permitted once onsiteMust not have been employed by this health system within the past year to be eligibleClinicians who fail to complete the final week of the contract or exceed callouts may be subject to system-wide Do Not Rehire statusScrubs are required; color code not specified\n \n Requirements\n
Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of considerationBLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications requiredMinimum 1.5 years of Level I Trauma experience or 2 years of Level II trauma experience, or experience at a stroke centerA-line and procedural wedge pressure experience requiredExperience with EKOS or similar devices highly preferredScrub experience preferred but not requiredReferences are required for considerationEPIC charting experience preferred\n Benefits\n
