Job description

Overview of the BP Production Artist role

As a Brand Packaging Production Artist, you will work closely with designers, project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure brand guidelines and regulatory information is accurate and compliant on all packaging artwork. You will be responsible for transferring FDA info, recipes & copy onto artwork with a great sense of detail.

Position Summary

Day-to-day mechanical production of packaging and collateral projects across multiple divisions.

Responsibilities

  • Produce & update mechanical files for food packaging with an understanding of the overall company brand guidelines, following dielines and print specifications.
  • Adapt existing designs for new SKUs, line extensions, and size variations.
  • Maintain brand packaging style guide and templates.
  • Create mockups for presentations.
  • Partner with project managers and cross-functional teams to meet milestones and deadlines.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in graphic design.

2-3 years experience of production design.

Mac expertise with complete knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).

Proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.

Familiarity with Smartsheet a plus.

  • Knowledge of FDA food labeling regulations preferred.
  • Strong understanding of printing processes, packaging materials, layouts, typography and color accuracy.
  • Experience creating mockups a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Strong analytical, interpersonal, problem solving and planning skills.

    Self-motivated with critical attention to detail and deadlines.

    Possesses the ability to work equally, collaboratively and autonomously within a team and in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.

  • Ability to perform work onsite in the San Francisco office 4 days per week + 1 day per week at home.

    The expected starting pay range for this position is $71,400 -$83,850 Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
