Senior Product Manager – Muon Halo
The Satellite Product Innovation team at Muon Space is seeking an experienced Product Manager to shape, build and operationalize the Muon Halo platform. Reporting to the VP of Product, this role translates complex technical capabilities into cohesive product requirements for satellite hardware, software systems and mission operations.

This position is critical in aligning platform strategy with customer needs, ensuring successful delivery across all components of the Muon Halo stack, and driving platform success across the organization.
Responsibilities
Inbound Product Management
Lead needs capture and requirements definition for key platform areas.
Translate complex customer mission needs into detailed hardware, software and operations requirements.
Own and prioritize product backlogs for assigned components and features.
Define acceptance criteria and validation processes for integrated system capabilities.
Coordinate technical trade‑offs between hardware constraints, software capabilities and operational requirements.
Establish traceability from customer needs through implementation.
Contribute to configuration control and change management processes.
Outbound Product Management
Support Go‑to‑Market teams in product launch planning and positioning.
Create technical documentation to aid sales teams.
Participate in customer meetings, demos, RFP responses and serve as technical expert.
Work with marketing on product messaging, website content, case studies, whitepapers and other thought leadership.
Conduct customer interviews and gather feedback on product‑market fit.
Analyze market trends and competitive moves to identify opportunities.
Define feature bundling, product packaging and pricing strategies under GTM guidance.
Analyze deal outcomes, identify gaps and feed insights back into development.
Technical Integration & Architecture
Define reusable product interfaces across missions.
Define requirements for seamless interoperability between modules (MuSim, MuOS, MuCore, MuSat, MuDash).
Collaborate with engineering to resolve complex dependencies.
Contribute to architectural decisions balancing performance, reliability and time‑to‑market.
Partner on technical debt and product evolution strategies.
Cross‑Functional Coordination
Partner with engineering teams across hardware, embedded software, ground systems and cloud infrastructure.
Collaborate with the VP Product on strategic roadmap and prioritization.
Work with mission operations to ensure operational feasibility.
Support program management in coordinating deliverables across missions.
Interface with manufacturing to align product designs with production capabilities.
Required Qualifications
5‑10 years of product management experience in complex technical environments.
Deep familiarity with space systems engineering principles and lifecycle processes.
Strong background translating technical requirements across hardware and software domains.
Experience with systems integration in mission‑critical settings.
Proven track record managing backlogs and defining technical requirements.
Experience working with cross‑functional engineering teams.
Knowledge of spacecraft subsystems, ground operations and satellite mission planning.
Understanding of configuration management and change control.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Nice‑to‑have Skills
Experience in satellite or aerospace product development.
Knowledge of LEO constellation operations and Earth observation systems.
Familiarity with embedded systems and space‑qualified hardware.
Experience with agile development methodologies in hardware / software environments.
Experience in startup or high‑growth technology settings.
Experience deploying a product function within a space or deep‑tech company.
Salary & Benefits
The salary range for this role is $190,000 – $225,000, plus a competitive equity grant and a comprehensive benefits package. Final compensation will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and geographic location assessed during the interview process.
