Courier - Gettysburg Hospital - Day

Pharmacy Courier

Schedule : Full Time : 80 Hours / Biweekly Hours : 9 : 00am - 5 : 30pm

General Summary : Delivers patient prescriptions from our internal Pharmacy throughout the organization and off-site locations.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Completes patient prescription pick up and / or deliveries from off campus sites, clients, etc. to the direct patient location.
• Completes a daily log.
• Maintains vehicle, reporting the need for truck / car maintenance or repairs.
• Prioritizes workload and organizes loads at beginning of shift.
• Attends departmental / hospital in-services and education programs as needed without being constantly reminded.
• Pleasantly participates in orientation and training of new courier employees. Makes them feel welcome and part of the team.
• Willingly helps all co-workers to ensure that all pick up and deliveries are completed in a timely manner.
• Communicates to Laundry staff when dropping off and picking up linen.

Driver's License Statement :

Must possess a valid driver's license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by WellSpan Risk Management.
