Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position in California requiring a CA license and advanced certifications.

Responsibilities Position is on a Med / Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting

Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19 : 00–07 : 00

Requires working every other weekend

On-call may be required as needed

May float to other units within scope of practice or to other campuses based on need; shuttle provided when floating

Tele / EKG experience preferred

Responsible for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of individualized nursing care in an acute setting

Provide patient and family education and support throughout hospitalization and care transitions

Work collaboratively with physicians, patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Follow all hospital policies, best practices, and professional standards to promote optimal patient outcomes

May serve as a mentor or resource to new staff and participate in orientation activities

Only one holiday request-off (RTO) will be approved during the assignment

Returning travelers must have at least one year since last assignment at this health system

Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of accepting the offer

Requirements Active CA RN license required

Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Minimum 2 years of recent Med / Surg Tele experience required

Must have prior Telemetry experience

Must be able to float between campuses within the health system

Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility for travel assignment consideration
