Job Description Summary

Assist with day to day operations of the department including but not limited to : providing support for stagecraft labs including assisting other students with their work, promoting a safe work environment and keeping the scene shop clean and orderly; assisting faculty with course related tasks like copying and filing; assisting with all areas of theatrical production like costumes, painting, building, and warehouse maintenance.

Job Description Summary

Minimum Qualifications

At minimum candidates must demonstrate a familiarity with some of the tools and techniques related to the theatre such as sewing, painting, drawing, graphic design, carpentry, electrics, computer software, video, or computer programming by providing a letter of recommendation that speaks to the candidates character and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have worked backstage on more than one high school or college theatre production, have completed projects related to building or construction or craft at home or at another institution, or demonstrate through a portfolio or a letter of recommendation, a familiarity with tools and techniques related to the theatre such as sewing, painting, drawing, graphic design, carpentry, electrics, electronics, computer software, video, or computer programming. This position requires patience, a sense of humor, and a sincere desire to help others achieve the highest levels of success in technical theatre in order to foster life long learning, diversity, and community building.

Work Schedule

Flexible Schedule working weekdays, some evenings and weekends. Ideal candidates can work Monday and Wednesday between 1-4p
